Day
One
Departure
from Cardè in the morning for a rafting trip on the Po River.
This activity consists in going down the river in a particular kind
of raft which is unsinkable and self-bailing. This raft is
paddled by a team of 4 to 8 people under the guidance of a certified
expert F.I. (Italian Federation) Rafting Guide.
Lunch
on your own.
Afternoon
dedicated to discovering the city of Saluzzo, the center of the
Medieval Marquisate. Architectural jewels of noteworthy beauty are
enclosed within its narrow alleys.
Typical
Piedmontese dinner and overnight stay.
Day
Two
After
breakfast, there is the possibility of having horseback riding
lessons at a local farm tourism setting.
Lunch
at the stables’ farmhouse.
In
the afternoon, visit to a local agricultural enterprise, with
sampling of local products and the possibility to purchase them.
Typical
Piedmontese dinner and overnight stay.
Day
Three
After
breakfast, excursion with a Nature guide to the Buco
di Viso, the first tunnel through the Alps, which was built in
1480 by Ludwig II of Saluzzo. We will therefore be following in the
footsteps of the ancient Salt Way (the route by which salt arrived
in this area from the sea).
